The Cat Face Mask

Hoje terminei essa máscara que já havia iniciado semana passada. Batizei ela de Cat Face por causa das orelhas, que na verdade nem faziam parte do conceito inicial da coleção e surgiram por acaso.

Apesar de as orelhas serem bem óbvias tratando-se de máscaras, adorei o resultado e a simplicidade da modelagem – que remete a um origami. Resolvi então fazer uma série com elas, que resultou em quatro peças. Agora já posso tirar isso do meu sistema e partir para outros shapes.

Logo mais vou subir um vídeo mostrando a evolução da Cat Face.

Vale ressaltar que quando escrevo “terminei essa máscara” ainda falta algum acabamento que só irei fazer no final da coleção por uma questão de praticidade e também para ter a opção de decidir por um estilo de acabamento que traga ainda mais unidade a todas as peças. E isso só vai ser possível vendo todas juntas.^^

Today I finished this mask that I started last week. I named it Cat Face because of the ears, that actually wasn’t part of the initial concept of the collection.

Although the ears are quite obvious as we are dealing with masks, I loved the result and the simplicity of the pattern – which reminds me of an origami. So I decided to make a serie that ended up with 4 pieces. Now I can get this ears out of my system and continue to work with other shapes.

Later I will upload a movie that shows the evolution of The Cat Face.

It’s important to know that when I say “finished the mask” most of the times some finishing is still missing, which I will only make in the end of the collection as a matter of convenience and also to have the option to decide on a style of finishing that will bring more unity to all parts.^^
